About The Job:

- A File & Print Technical Specialist L2, also known as a Level 2 File & Print Support Specialist, is a professional responsible for providing technical support and expertise in managing file and print services within an organization.

- This role typically involves working with various operating systems, network configurations, and software applications related to file sharing and printing

Essential Job Functions:

File and Print Services Management:

- Manage and maintain file server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.

- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot file sharing services such as Network Attached Storage (NAS) or cloud-based storage solutions.

- Implement and maintain print server environments, including printer configuration, driver management, and print queue administration.

Technical Support

- Provide second-level technical support to end-users and other IT support staff.

- Diagnose and resolve issues related to file access, permissions, print failures, and network connectivity.

- Collaborate with Level 1 support teams to escalate and resolve complex problems.

System Administration

- Administer user accounts, groups, and permissions for file access, ensuring security and data integrity.

- Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for file and print services.

- Monitor system performance and proactively address issues to prevent downtime.

Documentation and Training





- Create and update documentation related to file and print services, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides.

- Conduct training sessions for end-users and support staff on file and print services usage and best practices.

Collaboration and Communication

- Collaborate with other IT teams, such as network administrators and security specialists, to ensure seamless integration of file and print services with other systems.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide appropriate solutions.

Research and Evaluation

- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to file and print services.

- Evaluate recent software, hardware, and technologies to enhance file and print services infrastructure.

Security

- Implement security policies and protocols to safeguard sensitive data and prevent unauthorized access to files and printers.

- Monitor and respond to security incidents related to file and print services.

Qualifications

- EXP-8+ years

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

- Previous experience in a similar technical support role, preferably in a large enterprise environment.

- Strong knowledge of file server operating systems (such as Windows Server, Linux) and print server management.

- Familiarity with network protocols, file sharing technologies (e.g., SMB, NFS), and printer hardware.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified:



Windows Server, CompTIA Network+, or similar, are often preferred.

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and interact with end-users effectively.
