Maintenanince Technician (Heavy Equipment & Power Systems) - Uganda, Africa.

Position: Service Technician – Heavy Equipment & Power Systems

Company: Fabrication Systems (U) Ltd.

Location: Uganda

Key Responsibilities

· Installation and commissioning of generators, construction equipment, stabilizers, and related industrial machinery.

· Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment at customer sites and in the workshop.

· Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance.

· Conduct inspections and prepare technical service reports.

· Provide technical support and guidance to customers on proper equipment operation.

· Ensure all service work is completed safely, efficiently, and to manufacturer standards.

· Coordinate with the service department for spare parts requirements and warranty claims.

· Travel across Uganda and, where required, neighboring countries to support customers.

Qualifications & Experience

· Diploma or ITI qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.

· Minimum 4–5 years of hands-on experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment.

· Experience working with diesel generators,



construction equipment, material handling equipment, or industrial electrical systems will be highly preferred.

· Preferred experience working with direct Generator Manufacturing company in production unit OR worked as a field technician with dealer / distributor.

· Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and control panels.

· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and service documentation.

Candidate Profile

· Age: 30 years and above

· Self-driven, disciplined, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent customer service and communication skills.

· Willingness to travel extensively for field service assignments.

· Previous work experience in Africa will be a significant advantage.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
