Job Title: Maintenance Trainee

Department: Engineering

Reports To: Chief Engineer

Location: Hotel Property

Job Purpose To assist the Engineering Department in maintaining hotel facilities, equipment, and utilities in good working condition while learning the basic maintenance procedures and safety standards of the hotel industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the engineering team in the daily maintenance of hotel buildings, guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities.

- Support preventive maintenance of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and other engineering equipment.

- Assist in identifying and reporting maintenance faults, breakdowns, and safety hazards.

- Carry out basic repair and maintenance work under the supervision of qualified technicians.

- Assist in checking and maintaining water pumps, tanks, generators, and other hotel utilities.

- Support the maintenance of guest room equipment, including lights, switches, taps, and air-conditioning units.

- Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the engineering workshop and work areas.

- Follow hotel safety procedures and use tools and equipment correctly.

- Record maintenance activities and report completed and pending work to the supervisor.

- Respond to maintenance requests from different departments as instructed.





- Assist in energy conservation and proper use of hotel utilities.

- Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer or Engineering Supervisor.

Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning, or a related technical field.

- Freshers and candidates with basic technical knowledge may apply.

- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems is an advantage.

- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.

- Maintain proper records of work completed and pending.

- Follow preventive maintenance schedules.

- Support the smooth operation of hotel facilities.

- Demonstrate continuous improvement in technical knowledge and practical skills.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
