- Role Type: Entry-level / Full-time

- Department: Production / Manufacturing

- Reports To: Lead Machinist or Shop Supervisor

- Primary Goal: Keep the machine shop protected, clean, and operating at peak efficiency by assisting senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport raw materials (metals, plastics) and finished parts using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts.

- Machine Support: Assist senior operators with basic machine setups, clearing chips, and checking/refilling fluid and coolant levels.

- Quality Control: Clean and deburr finished parts; help measure items using basic tools like tape measures, calipers, or gauges.

- Shop Maintenance: Sweep floors, empty scrap bins, organize tooling,



and maintain a hazard-free work environment.

- Safety Compliance: Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and participate in safety meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: High school diploma, GED, or relevant vocational training.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts, bend, climb, and regularly lift up to 35–50 pounds unassisted.

- Communication: Ability to read, write, and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.

- Technical Aptitude: Willingness to learn shop math, read basic blueprints, and handle standard hand tools.
