Position Overview
Delhivery is looking for a law graduate with 4–5 years of relevant litigation experience to join its Litigation team in Gurugram. The role involves independently managing litigation filed by or against Delhivery across India — commercial, recovery, labour, consumer, civil and criminal matters — including reviewing notices received, drafting and vetting replies, notices, written statements and evidence, and formulating and recommending strategy on the way forward for current and existing matters. The candidate will monitor all pending litigation; coordinate with internal business and ground teams to gather evidence and inputs for replies, notices, written statements and other court/tribunal filings; and manage and coordinate with external counsel, including assigning current matters and overseeing how they are handled.
The ideal candidate will have sharp legal acumen and the ability to strategise, and will be resourceful, organised and people- oriented, with strong follow-up skills and the ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Litigation Management & Drafting
- Independently manage and respond to commercial, recovery, labour, consumer, civil and criminal matters across India; review notices received and draft, vet and finalize replies, notices, written statements, pleadings and evidence before filing.
- Take the call on assigning matters to external counsel, driving litigation strategy, filings and hearings, and proactively flag risks and escalations to management.
- Track litigation timelines, monitor court proceedings, maintain accurate,
up-to-date trackers and ensure timely resolution of issues such as AR attendance, document filing and orders with external counsel.
- Evidence & Internal Coordination
- Coordinate with internal departments (HR, Security, Finance, Revenue Assurance) and business/ground teams to obtain accurate data and factual inputs; manage, protect and collate evidence for use in replies and pleadings.
- Draft responses independently or route them to counsel, and review counsel's drafts for accuracy and alignment with the company's position before filing.
- Act as the primary liaison between the Litigation team, internal stakeholders and external counsel; drive timely documentation, appearances and compliance across functions.
- Counsel & Court Coordination
- Coordinate with external counsel for hearings, filings, conferences and documentation, representing the Litigation team's interests throughout.
- Facilitate execution of affidavits, vakalatnamas and authorisations, and coordinate attendance of company representatives and witnesses before courts and authorities, ensuring adequate preparation.
- Strategy, Team & Operations
- Strategise and advise business teams on legal escalations and potential litigation,
recommending a course of action based on risk assessment; identify recurring issues and recommend process or policy changes.
- Own day-to-day litigation operations, calendars, document repositories, litigation reports, counsel invoices and court- fee approvals and drive improvements in tracking and document management.
Qualifications ; Experience
- LL.B. from a recognised university or institution.
- 4–5 years of relevant litigation or litigation- management experience (in-house or law firm) across commercial, recovery, labour, consumer, civil or criminal matters.
- Demonstrated experience independently managing litigation end-to-end, with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with court procedures, particularly in Delhi/NCR.
- Proven experience coordinating with external counsel and internal stakeholders on case strategy.
- Ability to independently navigate court and tribunal

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and litigation trackers; high integrity and professionalism.
