Essential Job Functions:

- Administer and support Unix/Linux environments in a 24x7 production environment.

- Perform installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Unix/Linux servers.

- Manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 5, 6, 7, and 8.

- Administer SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) versions 11, 12, and 15.

- Perform Linux OS installation, software installation, upgrades, and patch management.

- Manage OS patching for Linux and AIX environments.

- Troubleshoot and resolve operating system-related issues.

- Perform kernel compilation, custom kernel installation, patching, and performance tuning.

- Configure and manage LVM and file systems including GFS, XFS, EXT, and JFS.

- Administer Pacemaker Clusters and Veritas Cluster Server (VCS).

- Perform user management, RPM package management, and kernel patch management.

- Manage and configure VMware vCenter environments.

- Configure and manage RAID, NIC Teaming, and Bonding.





- Administer SAN and NAS storage environments.

- Perform Linux server setup, configuration, monitoring, and system management.

- Monitor system health and ensure high availability and optimal performance.

- Support infrastructure activities related to physical hardware (Cisco, client hardware, etc.).

- Develop and maintain basic automation/scripting for operational tasks.

- Support TEM-related activities as required.

Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux System Administration.

- Basic knowledge of AIX and Solaris.

- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).

- Experience with SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES).

- Solid knowledge of AWS Cloud.

- Linux OS Installation, Administration & Patch Management.

- Strong knowledge of LVM and file systems (GFS, XFS, EXT, JFS).

- Experience with Pacemaker Cluster and Veritas Cluster Server (VCS).

- User Management and RPM Package Management.

- Kernel Management, Compilation, and Performance Tuning.

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for Unix/Linux environments.

- VMware vCenter Administration.

- Knowledge of Linux boot process, system files, and run levels.

- Experience with RAID, Teaming, and Bonding.

- SAN and NAS Storage Management.

- Linux Server Configuration and Management.

- Basic Shell Scripting.





- Basic knowledge of TEM.

- Understanding of physical server hardware (Cisco and client hardware).
