Company Description The World Headache Society (WHS) is a global, independent organization dedicated to ensuring that every person with head, face, or neck pain can access effective treatment quickly and clearly. WHS delivers high-quality, low-cost training in headache medicine to licensed clinicians worldwide, prioritizing regions that have historically received less attention and investment. Through online grand rounds, open house Q&A; sessions, and partnerships with other organizations, WHS expands access to expert knowledge and research in pain-related fields. A global network of Regional Directors, Country Ambassadors, and local Chapters supports cooperative learning and advocacy, while WHS Advocacy teams work directly with employers and organizations to educate and empower people living with headache conditions. WHS “Headache Medicine Connections,” an open-access, free-to-publish journal, underscoring its commitment to impartial, culturally inclusive, and cutting-edge approaches to care.




Role Description The Editorial Assistant will support the editorial operations of the World Headache Society, with a primary focus on activities related to the “Headache Medicine Connections” journal and other educational publications. This volunteer, unpaid role is based in Bangalore Urban and involves coordinating manuscript and content submissions, assisting with peer review workflows, and maintaining accurate editorial records. Day-to-day responsibilities may include formatting and proofreading documents, preparing correspondence with authors and reviewers and updating content on digital platforms. The Editorial Assistant will collaborate with the editorial team and other WHS officers to ensure timely publication timelines and consistent quality standards, while contributing to the Society’s mission of improving global access to headache medicine education.
