- Fixed Assets is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of lease accounting and fixed asset financial records across the organization. The role serves as a subject matter expert for lease and fixed asset accounting processes, supporting financial reporting, compliance, internal controls, audit readiness, and operational excellence. The position partners with Facilities, Procurement, Fleet Services, Project Accounting, Tax, Technical Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure lease and fixed asset transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Scope

- Own end-to-end lease accounting activities across real estate and equipment leases.
- Support the complete fixed asset lifecycle from capital project creation through retirement and disposal.
- Ensure accurate accounting, reporting, reconciliation, and controls across lease and fixed asset processes.
- Partner with global stakeholders to maintain compliant and supportable financial records.
- Drive process consistency, operational excellence, and continuous improvement within Finance Shared Services.

1. Lease Accounting Management

- Manage lease accounting activities across new, renewed, modified, terminated, and expired lease arrangements.

- Interpret lease agreements and validate key commercial and accounting terms.
- Maintain lease accounting records and lease management systems.
- Support lease reporting, reconciliations, disclosures, and portfolio governance requirements.




- Ensure compliance with lease accounting standards and company policies.

1. Fixed Asset Management

- Manage fixed asset accounting from acquisition through retirement and disposal.

- Ensure accurate capitalization, depreciation, transfers, impairments, and disposals.
- Maintain complete and accurate fixed asset records and supporting documentation.
- Support construction-in-progress governance and capitalization reviews.
- Drive strong fixed asset controls and financial stewardship practices.

1. Financial Close &
- Reporting

- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

- Prepare accounting entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Ensure subledger and general ledger integrity.
- Support financial reporting and management information requirements.
- Maintain audit-ready accounting records and documentation.

1. Controls, Compliance &
- Audit Support

- Execute SOX, operational, and financial controls.

- Support internal and external audits through timely and accurate documentation.
- Identify and escalate accounting, control, and compliance risks.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures.
- Promote a robust control environment and continuous compliance.

1. Stakeholder Management &
- Collaboration

- Partner with Facilities, Procurement, Fleet Services, Tax, Legal,



Technical Accounting, and Finance teams.

- Resolve accounting and operational issues through cross-functional collaboration.
- Support stakeholders with accounting guidance and process requirements.
- Establish robust working relationships across global business teams.

1. Process Excellence &
- Continuous Improvement

- Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and knowledge repositories.
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and simplification.

- Support reporting enhancements and process optimization initiatives.
- Contribute to operational excellence and scalable finance processes.

Required

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Lease Accounting
- Fixed Asset Accounting
- General Ledger Accounting
- Financial Close Processes
- Reconciliations
- Internal Controls
- Audit Support
- Experience with Oracle R12 or a similar ERP platform.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft OAice applications.

Desired

- Experience with ProLease lease accounting software.
- Experience with Oracle Fixed Assets and Oracle Projects.
- Knowledge of ASC 842 and/or IFRS 16.
- Experience supporting multinational organizations and SOX environments.
- Hands-on experience with Hyperion (Financial Management and Planning) is highly desirable.
- Experience with BlackLine or comparable reconciliation tools.
- Experience with Power BI, reporting automation, or analytics solutions.
