Key Responsibilities

- Build LLM-powered agents that extract structured, machine-readable business rules from unstructured retailer merchandising documents.

- Design and maintain rule schemas, scopes, and taxonomies for a business rules engine that downstream systems can consume and execute.

- Detect and resolve conflicts between rules, and continuously validate extraction/rule quality through evaluation loops.

- Own assortment optimization workflows: space-aware scoping and constraints, hyper-local/store-level recommendations, and translating optimizer output into compliant merchandising/planogram changes.

- Partner closely with the backend/systems engineering team to keep rule schemas and APIs in sync.

- Work with cloud LLM platforms, balancing accuracy, cost, and latency across model choices.

- Contribute to rule-review UI/UX and citation/traceability back to source documents as needed.

Required Skills

- Robust Python proficiency and hands-on production experience building LLM-powered agent workflows (prompt design, orchestration, structured-output extraction).

- Hands-on experience with a business rules engine / decision engine (e.g., GoRules / ZEN Engine, Drools,



or similar BRE/DMN-style systems).

- CPG or retail industry experience — solid working understanding of planogramming, space-aware assortment optimization, category management, and revenue growth management concepts, not purely generic ML background.

- Experience with document parsing and structured-data extraction from semi-structured sources (e.g., slides/PDFs).

- Familiarity with optimization techniques (constraint solvers/heuristics) relevant to space-aware assortment planning and hyper-local/store-level recommendations.

- SQL and data modeling experience.

- RESTful API design experience.

Nice to Have

- Cloud AI platform experience (Azure AI Foundry, AWS Bedrock, GCP Vertex, or similar).

- Experience with high-volume analytical stores (e.g., ClickHouse).

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.

- Relevant hands-on experience building applied LLM/agent systems or ML-driven products.

- Based in India.
