Role Description

Position: Test Architect/Lead Role Overview We are looking for an experienced Test Architect to define and drive the overall testing strategy for complex web-based full-stack applications. The candidate will be responsible for designing comprehensive test strategies, creating high-quality test cases, defining automation approaches, and ensuring end-to-end product quality across the UI, backend services, APIs, databases, integrations, security, performance, and infrastructure.

The Test

Architect will work closely with Product, Development, DevOps, Architecture, and Business teams to establish quality engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities 1. Test Strategy &

- Architecture Define the overall test strategy, test architecture, and quality engineering framework for full-stack applications. Develop test plans covering functional, integration, system, regression, API, database, performance, security, and end-to-end testing. Define the appropriate test pyramid and testing levels across UI, API, services, and database layers. Establish testing standards, processes, templates, and best practices. Identify test risks, dependencies, and quality gaps early in the development lifecycle. 2.

Test Case Design

Analyze business requirements, user stories, functional specifications, and technical architecture. Create detailed and comprehensive test scenarios and test cases for web applications. Develop positive, negative, boundary, exploratory, and edge-case scenarios. Ensure complete requirements-to-test-case traceability.
- Web/UI Testing Define testing approaches for modern web applications using technologies such as React, Angular, Vue, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS. Validate cross-browser and cross-platform behavior. Test responsive web applications across different screen sizes and devices. Validate usability, accessibility, navigation, forms, workflows, and client-side validations.
- API &




- Backend Testing Design and execute comprehensive API and service-level test cases. Validate request/response payloads, status codes, authentication, authorization, error handling, and data consistency. Test microservices, service-to-service communication, asynchronous workflows, queues, and event-driven architectures. Validate backend business logic independently of the UI. 5.

Database Testing

Design test cases for relational and/or NoSQL databases. Validate data integrity, data transformation, CRUD operations, stored procedures, queries, and transactions. Perform backend-to-database and UI-to-database validation. Identify data consistency and synchronization issues across systems. 6.

Test Automation

Define the automation strategy and framework architecture. Identify suitable candidates for automation and establish automation priorities. Establish reusable automation components, utilities, libraries, and reporting mechanisms. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Performance &
- Scalability Testing Define performance testing strategy for web applications and APIs. Develop scenarios for load, stress, endurance, scalability, and volume testing. Analyze response time, throughput, resource utilization, and system bottlenecks. Work with development and infrastructure teams to identify and resolve performance issues.
- Security &
- Reliability Testing Define security testing requirements covering authentication, authorization, session management, data protection, and common web vulnerabilities. Work with security teams to incorporate security testing into the SDLC. Validate application resilience,



error recovery, failover, and disaster-recovery scenarios where applicable.
- CI/CD &
- DevOps Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines. Work with DevOps teams on quality gates and automated validation. Support testing across development, QA, staging, and production-like environments.

Required Skills 10–15+ years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Engineering. Strong experience testing web-based full-stack applications. Excellent understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, Scrum, and DevOps. Strong hands-on experience in test case design and test strategy development.

Strong knowledge of: UI testing API testing Backend/service testing Database testing Integration testing End-to-end testing Regression testing Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, OAuth/JWT. Good SQL skills and understanding of databases.

Experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.

Experience with API automation tools such as REST Assured or Postman.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Robust programming/scripting skills in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar. Knowledge of performance testing tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of cloud-based applications and distributed systems.

Preferred Skills Experience with microservices and containerized applications. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms. Knowledge of accessibility testing and WCAG. Knowledge of OWASP and web application security testing.

Experience implementing Quality Engineering / Shift-Left testing.

Experience with AI-assisted testing and test automation is an advantage.
