Senior QA Engineer – Test Automation (Java/Kotlin, Selenium, RESTAssured) Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with a solid background in test automation using Java/Kotlin , API testing with RESTAssured , and UI automation using Selenium . The role involves designing and maintaining automation frameworks, ensuring high test coverage for APIs and applications, and actively contributing to quality engineering practices across the SDLC in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Test Automation & Quality Engineering

- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Java/Kotlin
- Develop and execute API automation tests using RESTAssured
- Automate web application testing using Selenium WebDriver
- Ensure comprehensive validation of REST APIs (request/response, schema, status codes, edge cases)
- Implement data-driven, reusable, and scalable test automation solutions
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end‑to‑end testing

CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
- Support continuous testing and provide automation feedback for builds and deployments
- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to improve test execution reliability

Quality Ownership
- Participate in requirements analysis, test planning, and test strategy discussions
- Identify quality risks early and propose automation-based solutions
- Analyze test failures and perform root cause analysis
- Log, track,



and validate defects using defect tracking tools such as JIRA

Leadership & Collaboration
- Review automation code and ensure adherence to best practices
- Mentor junior and mid-level QA engineers on automation and testing practices
- Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and architects
- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA standards, tools, and processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

- Strong programming experience in Java and/or Kotlin
- Hands-on expertise with Selenium WebDriver
- Strong experience in API testing using RESTAssured
- Experience with TestNG or JUnit
- Proficiency with build tools such as Maven or Gradle
- Experience using Git or other version control systems
- Solid understanding of RESTful services, HTTP methods, and JSON
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Testing Expertise
- Strong knowledge of test automation principles and best practices
- Experience with functional, regression, and integration testing
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (Cucumber) is a plus
- Experience testing microservices-based applications is an advantage

Experience
- 6–9 years of experience in software testing
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in test automation using Java/Kotlin
- Proven experience in API and UI automation in enterprise or product-based environments

Nice to Have
- Exposure to Docker / containerized test execution
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Performance or security testing exposure
- Knowledge of Kotlin-based automation frameworks
