Role description

We are seeking an experienced Lead AEM UI Developer to provide technical leadership for the design, development, implementation, and optimization of enterprise web applications built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). The candidate will be responsible for translating business and UX requirements into scalable, reusable, accessible, responsive, and high-performing UI solutions. The role requires strong hands-on expertise in AEM, HTL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Clientlibs, responsive design, and modern front-end development, along with the ability to guide developers and drive technical decisions. The Lead will work closely with Product Owners, UX/UI Designers, AEM Developers, Architects, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate should be comfortable balancing hands-on development with technical leadership, performing design and code reviews, troubleshooting complex production issues, estimating work, mentoring developers, and continuously improving engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities • Lead AEM UI Development – Design and develop complex, scalable, reusable AEM components using HTL/Sightly, Editable Templates, Clientlibs, and modern front-end technologies.

- Define UI Architecture &
- Standards – Establish component architecture, reusable UI patterns, coding standards, and enterprise front-end best practices.
- Act as AEM UI SME – Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams across AEM applications and products.
- Modern Front-End &
- React Integration – Drive ReactJS integration with AEM,



component-driven architecture, headless approaches, and migration from legacy jQuery/UI implementations.
- API &
- System Integration – Integrate UI solutions with REST and GraphQL APIs and collaborate with backend, AEM, and DevOps teams on cross-system solutions.
- Performance &
- Optimization – Own front-end performance, page-load optimization, responsive design, CDN, caching, and content delivery strategies.
- Code Quality &
- Technical Reviews – Conduct detailed code reviews and ensure solutions address security, accessibility, maintainability, browser compatibility, performance, and code duplication.
- Architecture &
- Technical Design – Analyze complex requirements, create technical designs, evaluate alternatives, identify dependencies and risks, and recommend scalable solutions.
- Production &
- Delivery Support – Support production incident resolution, RCA, technical troubleshooting, release planning, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Agile Planning &
- Technical Leadership – Break requirements into technical tasks, provide estimates, participate in sprint planning/backlog refinement, and contribute to project roadmaps and solution architecture.
