Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Lawyer role based in Nagpur. The Lawyer will review, draft, and negotiate legal documents and contracts related to land acquisition, development, and sales, ensuring compliance with applicable real estate and regulatory laws.

Responsibilities include conducting legal due diligence on properties, verifying titles and land records, and coordinating with government authorities, external counsel, and internal teams on approvals, registrations, and dispute resolutions.



The role involves advising management on legal risks, mitigation strategies, and policy changes affecting real estate projects, as well as maintaining accurate legal documentation and supporting internal audits and compliance reviews.

Qualifications

- Solid knowledge of property, real estate, and land laws, including zoning, registration, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements, sale deeds, MoUs, and other legal documents.
- Ability to conduct legal due diligence, title verification, and assessment of encumbrances on land and property.
- Proficiency in liaising with government departments, regulatory bodies, and external legal firms.
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and stakeholder interaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; LL.M or specialization in real estate law is an advantage.
- Valid license to practice law in India and prior experience in real estate or infrastructure sectors preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Nagpur, manage multiple matters simultaneously, and meet time-sensitive deadlines.
