Job Purpose To produce accurate, coordinated and buildable landscape drawings — concept, tender, shop and as-built — covering softscape, hardscape, irrigation, drainage and lighting, in line with client requirements, consultant comments and Dubai Municipality and master-developer standards.

Key Responsibilities

DRAWING PRODUCTION

- Prepare softscape drawings: planting layouts, planting schedules with botanical names, pot sizes and quantities, tree pit and staking details, turf and groundcover areas.

- Prepare hardscape drawings: paving layouts and patterns, kerbs and edging, steps, ramps, seating, pergolas, shade structures, water features, BBQ counters, pool surrounds, play and sports areas.

- Prepare setting-out and dimension drawings with grid references and coordinates for site execution.

- Prepare grading, levels and drainage drawings, including surface falls, catch basins and sub-surface drainage.

- Prepare irrigation layouts — mainline, sub-main and laterals, dripline and sprinkler coverage, valve and zone schedules, pump room and tank details, controller and wiring layouts.

- Prepare landscape lighting layouts with fixture schedules, cable routes and control points.

- Produce sections, elevations and construction details at the required scales.

COORDINATION &

- REVISIONS

- Convert consultant or client design drawings into workable shop drawings for site execution.

- Coordinate landscape works with civil, structural and MEP services to identify and resolve clashes before construction.

- Incorporate consultant and client comments promptly and reissue drawings with correct revision numbers and clouding.

- Prepare drawings for authority submissions and support the approval process through to close-out.

- Work from site photographs, survey data, measurements and mark-ups supplied by the Dubai site team to verify existing conditions and check executed works against drawings, raising queries where information is incomplete.





- Prepare accurate as-built drawings at project completion for inclusion in the handover file.

SUPPORT TO ESTIMATION &

- PROJECTS

- Provide drawings, mark-ups and preliminary quantity take-offs to support the estimation team during tendering.

- Prepare presentation material — layouts, sketches, mood boards, 3D views or renders — for client proposals where required.

- Maintain an organised drawing register with proper file naming, revision control and archiving, in coordination with the Document Controller.

- Prepare and issue printed and PDF drawing sets for submission and site distribution.

Qualifications &

- Skills

- Diploma or Degree in Civil/Architectural Draughtsmanship, Landscape Architecture, Horticulture or a related discipline.

- Minimum 3–5 years as a draughtsman with a landscaping, civil contracting or consultancy firm
- UAE or Gulf experience strongly preferred.

- Comfortable coordinating with an overseas project team over email, WhatsApp, video calls and shared cloud storage.

- Expert in AutoCAD 2D

- SketchUp, Lumion, Photoshop, InDesign or Revit an advantage.

- Good knowledge of plant species suited to the GCC climate and of correct botanical naming.

- Practical understanding of irrigation systems, drainage and hardscape construction methods.

- Familiarity with Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees and master-developer landscape and irrigation drawing standards.

- Ability to read and interpret consultant drawings and specifications and to work to tight submission deadlines.

- Good English communication skills and attention to detail.

Performance Indicators

- Drawings issued on or before the agreed date.

- Approval achieved with minimum revision cycles.

- No rework on site caused by drawing errors or uncoordinated clashes.

- Drawing register and revision control maintained without gaps.

- As-built drawings complete at handover
