:Lab Technician
Position: Lab Technician

Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and skilled Lab Technician to support our telehealth/telemedicine project in Keonjhar, Odisha. The role involves sample collection, laboratory testing, maintaining laboratory equipment and records, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting doctors, nurses, and healthcare teams in delivering quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood, urine, and other clinical samples as per prescribed procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests accurately as per standard protocols.
- Handle, label, store, and transport samples properly to maintain sample integrity.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Ensure proper calibration and cleanliness of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory registers, test reports, sample records, and daily activity reports.
- Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste as per applicable guidelines.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and project teams regarding test results and sample requirements.
- Maintain adequate stock of laboratory consumables, reagents, and supplies.
- Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely replenishment of essential laboratory materials.
- Support teleconsultations and patient follow-ups as required.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with Apollo Telehealth SOPs and safety guidelines.
- Support community healthcare, screening, and health awareness activities.
- Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and proper maintenance of the laboratory area.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- DMLT / BMLT qualification from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration/certification, wherever applicable, is preferred/mandatory as per project requirements.
- Freshers can apply; candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Good knowledge of laboratory procedures, sample collection, and basic diagnostic testing.
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain digital records.
- Comfortable working in a telehealth/telemedicine workplace.

- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle clinical samples safely and accurately.
