Role Summary
Join the Cisco SDA project as an embedded Red Badge contractor and contribute to the design, deployment, and advanced troubleshooting of complex enterprise network environments using Cisco SDA architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Implementation: Deploy Cisco SDA solutions, including fabric design and control-plane/data-plane
configurations.
- Technical Support: Provide L3 support for complex incidents, perform RCA, and implement robust permanent
resolutions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Integrate SDA solutions with existing network infrastructure and corporate
security policies.
- Optimization: Perform network performance tuning, capacity planning, and optimization of SDA fabric
components.
- Documentation: Maintain network diagrams, configuration guides, and operational runbooks.
- Mentorship: Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior team members.
- Compliance: Ensure network operations and designs adhere to Cisco security standards and industry best
practices.
Required Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Cisco SDA architecture, Cisco DNA Center (DNAC), Cisco ISE, and Catalyst switching platforms.
- Strong command of BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VXLAN, and LISP.
- Valuable to have: Network automation/programming using Python, Ansible, and REST APIs.
- Proven ability to resolve complex issues in enterprise-scale network environments.
- Proficiency in Cisco security solutions, particularly Cisco ISE.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and communicate effectively within global crossfunctional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- CCNP or CCIE (Enterprise/Routing & Switching) highly preferred.
- Extensive demonstrated experience in enterprise network engineering and L3 support.
