Designation - Junior Site Engineer

Department - Civil

Experience - 4 to 5 years on site (Real Estate)

Location - 11-A, Kalidas Marg, Ravindrapuri, Hathibarkala, Dehradun, Uttarakhand - 248001

Desired responsibilities of a junior site engineer: -

1. Supervising daily construction activities: Tracking work progress, and ensuring projects follow design plans and safety aspects of site.

2. Monitor progress: Watch daily site work to make sure it matches blueprints and schedules.

3. Coordinate teams: Communicate with contractors, workers, and subcontractors to keep tasks on track.

4. Report updates: Write daily logs, progress notes, and reports for senior managers

Technical and Quality Support:

1. Check quality: Inspect materials and completed work to meet industry standards.

2. Read plans: Help interpret technical drawings, maps, and design specifications.

3. Solve problems: Help troubleshoot on-site technical hurdles under a senior engineer's guidance.

Safety and Resource Management:

1. Enforce safety: Make sure workers wear safety gear and follow health rules.

1. Track construction materials and help manage tool availability.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:

1. Supervising and managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
2. Reporting project updates, milestones and potential risks to the project manager and key stakeholders.
3. Analysing and interpreting engineering drawings, survey reports and other technical documentation to guide the construction process.
4. Planning and overseeing allocating resources, materials and equipment to optimise project efficiency.
5. Monitoring project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities and adhering to budget constraints.
6. Providing technical guidance and expertise to resolve construction-related challenges.

TASK OF THIS ROLE:

1. Oversee and manage construction activities at the site, ensuring adherence to project specifications,



codes and safety regulations.
2. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues and ensure compliance with engineering and design requirements.
3. Collaborate closely with project managers, architects and subcontractors to ensure timely project completion.
4. Analyse and interpret engineering plans, aerial photography, blueprints, topographical & geologic data and technical drawings to plan and execute construction activities.
5. Coordinate the procurement and delivery of construction materials, ensuring their compliance with industry standards.
6. Identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures to minimise project delays, cost overruns and safety hazards.
7. Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, site diaries, change orders and quality control measures.

Required skills and qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college.
2. 4-5 years of experience as a site engineer, civil engineer or an equivalent role.

3.Demonstrated proficiency in managing and supervising construction projects.
1. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, GIS, AutoCAD and other software.
2. Ability to manage multiple construction projects at various stages of their lifecycle.
3. Robust knowledge of construction methods, materials and regulations.
4. Competent in assessing, interpreting and presenting survey reports and other critical data for stakeholders and shareholders.
5. Excellent project management and organisational skills.
6. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities with effective communication.
7. Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
8. Attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
