The Civil Junior Engineer will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and supervision of civil engineering projects, primarily in the construction, infrastructure, and real estate sectors. The ideal candidate will possess 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in site execution, design review, quantity estimation, and quality assurance, preferably within the Pune region. The role demands a blend of technical proficiency, project coordination, and strong communication skills to ensure timely, cost-effective, and compliant project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution and Supervision

- Oversee day-to-day site activities, ensuring construction progresses as per approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Supervise contractors, subcontractors, and labor teams to maintain workflow, safety, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and resolve on-site issues promptly.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and senior engineers to align site execution with project objectives.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily progress reports, material consumption, and labor deployment.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and statutory regulations on-site, reporting incidents and implementing corrective actions as needed.

2. Design and Drawing Review

- Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings, ensuring clarity and feasibility for site execution.




- Collaborate with design teams to resolve discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.
- Suggest practical modifications to designs based on site realities, material availability, and constructability.
- Assist in preparing and updating as-built drawings and documentation for project records.
- Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to support drawing revisions and technical detailing.

3. Quantity Estimation and Billing

- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment based on drawings and site measurements.
- Assist in the preparation and verification of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and contractor bills.
- Track material usage and reconcile with project budgets to prevent overruns.
- Support procurement teams by providing accurate material requirements and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Maintain documentation for all billing and estimation activities, ensuring transparency and audit readiness.

4. Quality, Safety, and Compliance

- Implement and monitor quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures on-site.
- Conduct material testing and inspection to ensure compliance with project specifications and relevant codes.
- Identify and document non-conformities,



initiating corrective actions in consultation with senior engineers.
- Ensure all construction activities adhere to local building codes, environmental regulations, and organizational standards.
- Promote a culture of safety by conducting toolbox talks, safety briefings, and regular audits.
- Prepare and submit quality and safety reports to project management and regulatory authorities as required.

5. Project Coordination and Communication

- Act as a liaison between site teams, design consultants, project managers, and clients to ensure seamless information flow.
- Participate in project meetings, providing updates on progress, challenges, and resource requirements.
- Prepare and present technical reports, progress summaries, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the project manager in scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management activities.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and knowledge sharing among site personnel.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Education: Bachelors Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with site execution and supervision experience in Pune or similar urban environments.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and local building codes.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word, Project), and familiarity with project management and estimation software.
