Role Description The Journalism Intern role at EduAdvice™ is a remote unpaid internship focused on education news and articles for 3 months. The intern will research and report on education-related developments, including school updates, university announcements, policy changes, scholarships, internships, and academic job opportunities. Daily tasks include drafting news articles, writing short features, preparing press notes, and supporting content for initiatives such as EduAdvicePodcast, campus news, and news alerts.
The intern will collaborate with the editorial team to verify information, conduct interviews where needed, and contribute to engaging content that serves EduAdvice’s community. This internship offers hands-on experience in digital journalism, education reporting, and community-focused media.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Writing and News Writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and engaging content on education topics.
- Candidates should possess solid Research skills to gather, verify, and synthesize information from multiple credible sources.
- Candidates should possess Communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with educators, students, and institutional representatives.
- Candidates should possess the ability to draft Press Releases and concise news alerts aligned with editorial guidelines and brand tone.
- Enrollment in or completion of a program in Journalism, Mass Communication, Media Studies, English, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong command of written English, attention to detail, and familiarity with digital news platforms or online publishing tools are beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced news environment is expected.
- An interest in education policy, student opportunities, and social impact initiatives, including NGO work, will be an advantage.
