Jira Administrator

Job OverviewWe are looking for a skilled Jira Administrator with hands-on experience in Jira Administration and Confluence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and supporting Jira and Confluence platforms while ensuring they effectively meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and maintain Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence.
- Configure Jira projects, workflows, screens, custom fields, issue types, permissions, schemes, and notifications.
- Manage users, groups, roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Create and maintain Jira workflows based on business requirements.
- Configure dashboards, filters, reports, and Agile boards.
- Administer Confluence spaces, pages, templates, permissions, and content.
- Support integration between Jira, Confluence, and other enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot Jira and Confluence issues and provide technical support to users.
- Configure Jira Service Management features such as request types, queues, SLAs, workflows, and portals.
- Perform Jira/Confluence upgrades, migrations, configuration changes, and maintenance activities.
- Monitor platform performance and ensure system availability.
- Prepare and maintain technical and configuration documentation.
- Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, IT,



and business teams to understand requirements and implement solutions.

Required Skills

- 3–8 years of experience in Jira Administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Jira Software and Confluence.
- Good knowledge of Jira workflows, schemes, screens, custom fields, permissions, and notifications.
- Experience with Jira automation and workflow configuration.
- Experience creating dashboards, reports, filters, and Agile boards.
- Hands-on experience with Confluence Administration.
- Valuable understanding of Jira and Confluence integration.
- Experience in user, group, role, and access management.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Jira Service Management (JSM).
- Knowledge of Jira REST APIs and integrations.
- Experience with Jira marketplace apps/plugins.
- Experience with Jira migrations and upgrades.
- Understanding of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Atlassian certification would be an advantage.

EducationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Key Skills
