Lead Software Engineer Java Spring Boot & React (GCP)

Experience:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Technical Lead with deep expertise in Java Spring Boot, React.js, and cloud-native architecture on GCP to drive the development of highly scalable, reliable APIs and intuitive web interfaces. The ideal candidate should have a strong backend foundation, frontend experience, and proven leadership in full-stack solution design and delivery in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

- Lead a cross-functional team in designing, developing, and deploying end-to-end web applications.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from requirement gathering to production deployment and support.
- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and enforce best practices in code quality, security, and performance.

Backend Development (Java)

- Architect and implement RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA.
- Ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and observability using patterns like circuit breakers, service discovery, and load balancing.
- Integrate with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and external systems efficiently.

Frontend Development (React.js)

- Build responsive, modular, and reusable UI components using React.js, Redux, React Hooks.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and performance optimization on web interfaces.

Cloud & DevOps (GCP)

- Design and deploy applications on Google Cloud Platform (App Engine, Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Firestore, etc.).
- Automate build and deployment pipelines using Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.




- Monitor application health using Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent tools.

Team Collaboration

- Collaborate with product managers, architects, UX designers, and QA to deliver high-quality products.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Drive agile ceremonies sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

Required Skills:

Backend:

- 810 years of experience in Java, with 5+ years in Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and design patterns.
- Solid experience with JPA/Hibernate, SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

Frontend:

- 3+ years of hands-on experience in React.js, Redux, TypeScript (optional but preferred).
- Valuable knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, ES6+, and responsive design principles.

Cloud:

- 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Firestore, BigQuery, Cloud SQL.

General:

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience with Agile methodologies, Git, and JIRA.

Nice-to-Have:

- Familiarity with GraphQL, gRPC, or Event-driven architecture.
- Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC) on GCP.
- Knowledge of security practices (OAuth2, JWT, API gateway security).

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage technical delivery end-to-end.
- Passionate about technology, innovation, and continuous learning.
