ROLE SUMMARY AND OVERVIEW

The Software Engineeis responsible for developing, installing, designing, implementing, and delivering high-quality enterprise software projects utilizing Java, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and related Java technologies. Operating within the core product development lifecycle, the incumbent plays a critical role in engineering stable, well-documented applications while maintaining a "First Time Right" delivery mindset. This role requires a technically proficient developer who can translate structured user requirements into functional code, execute extensive quality assurance testing, and handle multi-tier architecture demands under overlapping shift structures or client-site deployments when necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Requirements Analysis & Technical Documentation

- Develop robust software solutions by thoroughly studying client information needs, conferring directly with users, examining system flows, analyzing data usage, and exploring architectural work processes.
- Investigate problem areas throughout the delivery cycle and conduct regular system analyses to continuously improve software operations.
- Document and demonstrate technical solutions clearly by compiling comprehensive system documentation, flowcharts, layouts, structural diagrams, and charts.
- Collect, analyze,



and summarize ongoing development updates and service issues to provide clear operational information to the team.

2. Core Software Engineering & Code Quality
- Participate deeply in detailed, low-level design, software prototyping, coding, code walkthroughs, peer code reviews, and the delivery of code review artifacts.
- Ensure the thorough preparation of essential system blueprints, including System Architecture diagrams, Software Design Documents, and deployment-ready code files.
- Enforce engineering discipline by ensuring all source files strictly follow defined team coding guidelines, incorporate meaningful comments, and utilize clean code practices.
- Apply comprehensive system analysis, technical evaluation techniques, and architectural knowledge to build, install, and troubleshoot complex multi-tier applications.
- Ensure all developed user interfaces strictly align with standard corporate UX guidelines.

3. Systems Integration & Testing Lifecycle
- Build and configure software modules to ensure all project tasks are successfully completed within defined effort boundaries and timelines.
- Prepare and install solutions by systematically determining and designing system specifications, structural programming models, and engineering standards.
- Lead multi-stage validation testing tracks,



ensuring the preparation of master Test Plans and Test Cases covering unit testing, system testing, and critical negative testing.
- Apply a rigorous "test-to-break" attitude, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities to execute successful System Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), customer Demos, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Perform advanced application troubleshooting by executing deep log analysis and structural database query optimization loops.
- Author clear release blueprints, including Installation/Deployment documentation, formal Release Documents, and master technical documentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to all internal Newgen quality processes, engineering frameworks, and data confidentiality guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS AND CRITICAL COMPETENCIES

Experience and Qualifications

- 1 - 4 years of skilled experience in software development across a wide variety of development projects.
- Strong programming skills and hands-on proficiency in Java, JSP, Servlets, EJB, SQL/Oracle, J2EE, and other associated Java technologies.
- Solid understanding of current technological trends in the software development industry, specifically covering OOPs, Multi-Tier software development, Component Architecture, and Web-Based Software models.
- Practical familiarity with system integration issues, data structures, and multi-tier application troubleshooting.
- Operational Readiness: Fully willing to travel within India or abroad at short notice, work in overlapping shifts,
