Essential Job Functions:

- Implement strategic goals from overall stakeholder strategy / Ecosystem/Category management perspective
- Planning, organizing and managing projects taking into account priorities, resources, budgets, issues and constraints to achieve desired results; defining clear project scope and objectives; utilizing software and tools to plan, track and report status.

- Translates global divisional category strategy into global, divisional, sub category strategy OR translates regional procurement strategy into country strategy and local implementation.
- Provide input into the overall Category or sub-category strategy about segmentation and identification of key supplier relationships, and lead business planning activities and ensure these projects are staffed and executed on a timely basis in line with the targeted goals.
- Projecting the dynamics and impacts (e.g. mergers and acquisitions).

Extracting, cleansing and consolidating information to fact-based insights for further usage e.g. in category strategies.

- Support definition and implementation of Procurement tools and processes.
- May directly control at a country level purchase with respect to supplier choice, timing and commercial conditions (may vary between divisions depending on way spend is controlled

- Demand management
- Responsible to ensure the right balance between business needs and Client’ strategy.
- Accountable to work with stakeholders to identify the most cost-effective ways to deliver business objectives.

- Sourcing and supplier relationships management

Executing the Source-to-Contract process including respective strategies, approaches and methods
- : Preparing and conducting fact-based negotiations.

- Adapting tactics from a broad portfolio of negotiation strategies to achieve results that support business and Procurement objectives.
- Manage strategic sub-category supplier relationships, and implement consistent key performance indicators for the sub-category, ensuring that any supplier performance risks
- and issues are resolved on a timely basis to end user satisfaction.

- Manage relationships with stakeholders
- Analyzing specifications for optimization.
- Linking specification to customer value, challenging specification confidently.
- Conveying messages clearly and convincing stakeholders.

- Achieving results by proactively building long-term, sustainable and effective relationships, understanding the stakeholder landscape and demonstrating intelligence across business structures and networks.
- Strategy / Category management / Supplier management / Project management
- Understanding Procurement vision based on insights into procurement leading practices.

- Linking Procurement strategy to Client’ overall strategy and conveying it clearly to the organization.
- Mapping the value chain, analyzing it and deriving potential scenarios. Includes the understanding and application of total cost of ownership, and should cost moClienting.

- Mapping and analyzing the ecosystem, meaning how procurement's customers, stakeholders, suppliers, 3rd parties and even competitors play a role in ecosystems.




- Expertise in defining multiple category strategies.
- Linking strategies to measurable target and clearly conveying them to the organization.

- Expertise in IT Software Procurement .
- Understanding the respective category market levers, trends and main players as well as internal processes and hands on expert level experience in handling critical negotiations with Enterprise Software Publishers (e.g. SAP, Microsoft, Oracle)

- Compliance & risk management: understanding the KPIs, processes and supporting reports to determine appropriate compliance level.
- Monitoring end-to-end compliance (budget, payment, vendor PO, contract invoice, buying channel, etc.) and deriving corrective actions to improve compliance. Understanding and applying risk management processes including identifying and evaluating risks, and defining and executing a risk mitigation plan.

- Understanding the steps, methods and processes to manage supplier, covering supplier strategy, supplier collaboration, supplier development, supplier lifecycle management and supplier performance management.
- Understanding and experience in analyzing spend, demand, supply markets and competitors.
- Understanding the dynamics and impacts (e.g. mergers and acquisitions).

- Experience in extracting, cleansing and consolidating information to fact-based insights for further usage e.g. in category strategies.
- Understanding the Source-to-Contract process including respective strategies, approaches and methods.
- Outstanding experience in applying tactics from a broad portfolio of negotiation strategies to achieve results that support business and Procurement objectives.

- Understanding of procurement tools and ability to navigate them. Understanding the procurement data structure and procurement classification system for material, services, and suppliers.
- Understanding the procurement content (e.g. in contracts) and maintaining and updating Procurement applications accordingly (e.g. e-catalogs, user portal).

- Continuous improvement of procurement content and automation.

Qualifications:

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS / MEASURES OF SUCCESS

- Successful project execution by providing all external solutions in time / at the required quality / within budget as verified by the business to drive productivity savings.

- Value Delivery – right-sized spending and projected savings in compliance with a meaningful guideline.
- Successful and measurable execution on efficiency programs
- Measurable and continuous process improvement & compliance assurance.

- Understanding the Procurement KPIs related to market insights, price and demand development as well as procurement's performance.

EDUCATION:
- University/Advanced degree is required.

- Master’s Degree/other advanced degree in IT , Business Administration, is preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
- Preferably 10-15 years of relevant subject experience (IT related experience in Procurement, Supplier Management, Finance , Architecture).

- Preferably > 5-10 years of experience in Procurement or other related experience preferably in Software Category management, supplier management, or related area, with a focus in the IT Software domain with specialization in driving critical negotiation with Enterprise software publishers (e.g. SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Veeva)
- Strong project management and other leadership experience

- Stakeholder Management to CxO level.

SPECIFIC PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES (Preferred)
- IT Software including Software as a service (SaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS) Specialized in driving negotiating with Enterprise Software (e.g.

SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, ServiceNow, Salesforce, Veeva)
