Reitzel is a Swiss agri-food group with production sites in Switzerland, France and India. Our IT infrastructure is standardised and governed by Group IT in Switzerland, while the local team runs and supports it on site.

We are looking for a Junior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our IT team in Kunigal and take care of the day-to-day operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of our infrastructure. You will work daily with Group IT in Switzerland, who will give you technical direction, standards and priorities. You are not expected to master every technology listed below, but you need solid fundamentals in systems and networking and the ability to learn fast.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide day-to-day 11/12 support to plant, office and warehouse users, and manage incidents and service requests in Freshservice.
2. Install, configure and troubleshoot end-user equipment: laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals.
3. Administer and support Windows Server, Windows 11 and Linux systems, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file and print services.
4. Manage endpoints and Microsoft 365 services: Intune, mail, SharePoint and Teams.
5. Operate and maintain the site network and security equipment: switching, VLANs, Wi-Fi, Fortinet firewalls and Hikvision CCTV,
6. Connect production and industrial equipment to the network according to Group IT segmentation standards.
7. Ensure backups, patching and endpoint protection run as expected, and enforce Group IT security policies on site.

Maintain IT asset inventory and technical documentation: network diagrams, IP plans and

Act as on-site hands for Group 11 and take part in infrastructure upgrades, deployments and projects.

Required Skills:

1. Working knowledge of Windows Server and Windows 11; basic Linux command-line comfort.
2. Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, DNS and DHCP.
3. Practical understanding of Active Directory and user/group/permission management.
4. Exposure to Microsoft 365 administration and end-user support.
5. Exposure to Intune or any MDM/endpoint management platform.
6. Basic understanding of firewalls, IT security, backups and patch management.
7. Methodical troubleshooting: isolate, test, document, escalate.
8. Fluent English, spoken and written, mandatory (daily communication with Group IT in Switzerland). Kannada and/or Hindi is an advantage.

Education & Certifications: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field (B.E/B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc., or 3-year Polytechnic Diploma).

Certifications are not required. CCNA, Fortinet NSE/FCF or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
