Job Summary
Pragathy Group is looking for an experienced and process-oriented Inventory Manager to manage and control the complete inventory operations of the Group. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring stock accuracy, effective godown management, timely replenishment, inventory optimisation, and proper coordination between purchase, sales, accounts, and warehouse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage inventory across all branches, godowns, and business divisions.
- Monitor daily stock inward, outward, transfers, returns, and closing stock.
- Maintain accurate item-wise, category-wise, and godown-wise inventory records.
- Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile variances with the system.
- Analyse stock ageing and identify slow-moving, non-moving, excess, and obsolete inventory.
- Establish minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels for all major items.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Department to ensure timely replenishment and prevent stock-outs.
- Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams for stock availability and movement planning.
- Ensure proper documentation for receipts, issues, transfers, damages, and returns.
- Investigate inventory shortages, excess stock, and system discrepancies.
- Implement inventory SOPs, controls, and approval processes across the Group.
- Monitor storage practices, item identification, bin allocation, and godown discipline.
- Ensure accurate and timely inventory entries in Invaccs software.
- Prepare and submit periodic inventory MIS reports to management.
- Lead and monitor godown, store, and inventory-control staff.
- Support management in reducing inventory carrying costs and improving stock turnover.

Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant inventory-management experience.
- Experience managing inventory across multiple godowns, branches, or business divisions.
- Solid knowledge of inventory control, stock reconciliation, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory-management/ERP software.
- Experience with Invaccs or similar inventory software will be an added advantage.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to lead inventory and godown teams effectively.
- Candidates with experience in the plastics, retail, wholesale, distribution, or trading sector will be preferred.
