The ID serves as an instructional producer for a high-volume, structured eLearning redesign project focused on aviation maintenance technician training. The role demands rigorous AI-assisted content authoring , storyboarding for the canvas based course, and close cross-functional coordination with SMEs, and media specialists and LMS integrators.There are 16 blocks/ courses and approximately 320 Daily Learning Units (DLUs) to be created. Success requires both instructional precision and the ability to maintain quality and consistency at scale while working within production timelines and technical constraints.

KEY EXPECTATIONS

Daily Unit Authoring: Author and refine storyboards for Daily Learning Units covering five defined instructional sections: Today's Mission, Learn It, Quick Check, Up Next in Class, and Day Reflection.

AI-Assisted Content Creation: Review, refine, and validate AI-generated drafts for instructional accuracy, FAA handbook alignment, ACS code coverage, and pedagogical coherence.

Write structured Canvas page content drawn from FAA regulatory manuals and technical handbooks at greater depth than existing slide decks.

Interactive Briefing: Develop detailed briefs for Storyline developers specifying interactive requirements across seven defined templates (Labeled Image Explorer, Step-by-Step Process Viewer, Calculation Walkthrough, Drag-and-Drop Sorter, and others).

Feedback Integration: Incorporate Lead ID internal SME and client SME feedback, revise storyboards iteratively, and prepare units for build handoff to development teams.

Quality Assurance Review:



Conduct instructional design review of assembled DLUs within Canvas before QA handoff; flag content gaps, depth issues, or instructional misalignments proactively.

Cross-Block Consistency: Maintain consistent instructional approach, tone, visual language, and structural standards across all 16 parallel production streams.

Source Document Mastery: Extract, synthesize, and adapt content from regulatory handbooks, technical manuals, and existing slide decks, ensuring FAA compliance and instructional accuracy.

Experience Level

Years of Experience: 58 years in instructional design with demonstrated expertise in eLearning or blended learning environments.

Domain Expertise: Solid background in technical, vocational, or regulatory compliance content; aviation maintenance experience is a plus.

Storyboarding Proficiency: Proven ability to write clear, structured storyboards for both LMS (Canvas) pages and interactive media templates.

Assessment Writing: Experience authoring formative assessment items with per-item explanatory feedback and feedback branching logic.

Good to Have

Hands-on experience with AI-assisted authoring workflows and structured prompt-based content generation.

Familiarity with Articulate Storyline at the briefing or review level; ability to read and interpret Storyline architecture.

Prior work in high-volume, template-driven production environments where consistency at scale is critical.

Fluency with Canvas LMS configuration, page templates, and instructional best practices.

Experience working with FAA regulatory frameworks or equivalent technical/compliance documentation.
