Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Informatica Administrator with strong expertise in managing, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting enterprise Informatica environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for Informatica platform administration, environment management, user access, monitoring, upgrades, troubleshooting, performance management, and production support. The role will involve working closely with infrastructure, database, application, and data engineering teams to ensure platform availability and stability.

Key Responsibilities

Informatica Platform Administration

- Install, configure, and administer Informatica PowerCenter environments.
- Manage Informatica services, repositories, Integration Services, nodes, and application services.
- Perform regular health checks and housekeeping of Informatica environments.
- Monitor Informatica services, workflows, jobs, and system performance.
- Troubleshoot platform-level issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Manage Informatica environments across Development, Testing, UAT, and Production.

User & Access Management
- Create, modify, and deactivate Informatica users and accounts.
- Manage user roles, permissions, and access based on organizational requirements.
- Support periodic user access reviews and recertification.
- Manage repository and folder-level access and security.

Monitoring & Production Support
- Monitor Informatica workflows, sessions, services, and platform health. • Identify and resolve service failures, job failures, connectivity issues, and performance issues.




- Provide L2/L3 production support for Informatica-related incidents.
- Coordinate with application, database, infrastructure, and network teams for issue resolution.
- Ensure incidents and service requests are resolved within defined SLAs.

Performance & Capacity Management
- Monitor Informatica platform performance and resource utilization.
- Identify bottlenecks and perform performance tuning where required.
- Monitor repository, Integration Service, node, and workflow performance.
- Support capacity planning and infrastructure scaling activities.

Upgrades & Environment Management
- Support Informatica version upgrades, patches, migrations, and environment refreshes.
- Ensure Informatica components are upgraded before reaching End of Life.
- Support deployment and migration activities across environments.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and DR drills.

Backup, Recovery & Governance
- Manage and review Informatica repository and platform backups.
- Support recovery activities in case of platform failures.
- Maintain operational documentation, configuration details, and environment records.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Follow change management and release management processes.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Informatica Administration.




- Strong hands-on experience administering Informatica PowerCenter.
- Good understanding of Informatica Repository Service, Integration Service, nodes, domains, and workflows.
- Experience with Informatica installation, configuration, upgrades, patches, and migrations.
- Strong experience in user access and security management.
- Experience in production monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
- Good knowledge of Oracle databases and SQL.
- Experience working in enterprise 24x7 production support environments.
- Strong understanding of incident, change, release, and problem management.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

- Experience with Informatica IICS / IDMC.
- Exposure to Informatica BDM.
- Experience with Cloudera / Hadoop environments.
- Exposure to Spark and enterprise data platforms.
- Experience with monitoring tools and scheduling platforms.
- Experience in Banking / Financial Services environments.
- ITIL certification or experience with ITIL-based service management.
