Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Account Manager – IT Recruitment to manage and grow client accounts in Chennai. The person will be responsible for developing strong client relationships, understanding hiring requirements, driving recruitment closures, expanding existing accounts, and working closely with internal recruitment teams to deliver quality technology talent.

This is a client-facing role and requires robust experience in IT staffing/recruitment, account management, client engagement, and business development .

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and develop relationships with existing IT clients and key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client requirements and recruitment engagements.
- Understand client hiring needs, technology requirements, priorities, budgets, and hiring timelines.
- Generate and manage IT recruitment requirements across technologies such as Java, .NET, SAP, Cloud, Data, DevOps, Salesforce, Testing, AI/ML, etc.
- Coordinate closely with the recruitment team to ensure timely submission of quality profiles.
- Drive the complete recruitment cycle from requirement gathering to interview coordination and closure.
- Follow up with clients for profile feedback, interview schedules, selections, offers, and onboarding.
- Maintain strong candidate and client experience throughout the hiring process.
- Identify opportunities for account mining, cross-selling, and new business development .




- Conduct regular client meetings and account reviews.
- Develop account maps and identify key decision-makers and influencers.
- Track business pipeline, open positions, closures, revenue, and account performance.
- Negotiate commercial terms, rates, and contractual requirements where applicable.
- Work with leadership and delivery teams to resolve escalations and ensure successful fulfilment.
- Prepare regular MIS and account performance reports.
- Maintain strong market knowledge of IT hiring trends, salary benchmarks, and talent availability.

Required Skills
- 5–10 years of experience in IT Recruitment / IT Staffing / Account Management .
- Strong experience handling enterprise IT clients .
- Proven experience in client engagement and relationship management.
- Good understanding of technical recruitment and IT technologies.
- Experience managing multiple client requirements simultaneously.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong follow-up, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work with recruitment/delivery teams and drive closures.
- Experience in account mapping and account growth is highly preferred.
- Exposure to MSP/VMS/RPO/staffing models will be an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be a strong client-facing IT recruitment professional who can independently manage accounts, generate requirements, understand technology hiring needs, and work with recruiters to convert requirements into successful closures. Preference: Candidates from IT staffing, recruitment consulting, RPO, or technology services companies with an established client network in Chennai.
