About the Role
We are looking for a energetic and driven HR Business Partner with strong IT industry exposure to lead our HR function across global geographies, primarily Australia and the USA. This role will also play a key part in spearheading the organization's expansion plans around complete AI Digital Transformation, embedding AI-first thinking into the employee experience and the HR function itself. The ideal candidate is a hands-on people leader who combines strong business partnering fundamentals with genuine energy and enthusiasm for employee experience — someone who can lead a team, work confidently across HR tools and systems, and bring visible, high-impact people initiatives to life.
This role demands the grit to work hard, the eloquence to influence stakeholders at every level, and the zeal to build a culture of excellence across a distributed, multi-country workforce. Candidates who are hands-on with AI tools will be given strong preference.
Responsibilities
- Business Partnering & Team Leadership
- Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to business leaders across Australia and the USA, aligning people strategy with business goals.
- Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals, building capability and driving high standards of delivery.
- Bring strong visibility and presence to the HR function — an active, approachable partner rather than a back office function.
- Demonstrate the drive and resilience to work hard, manage ambiguity, and deliver in a fast-paced global environment.
- - AI Digital Transformation Leadership
- Spearhead HR's role in the organization's expansion plans around complete AI Digital Transformation.
- Embed AI-first thinking into HR processes, employee experience,
and ways of working across the team.
- Identify and pilot AI tools that can enhance HR service delivery, analytics, and employee engagement.
- Act as an internal champion for AI adoption, building confidence and capability across the workforce.
- - Employee Experience & Engagement
- Design and conduct engaging 'WOW' sessions that create memorable, high-impact employee experiences.
- Plan and run informal 'Coffee Talks' and similar listening forums to build open, two-way communication with employees.
- Own the end-to-end climate/engagement survey process — design, execution, analysis, and action planning.
- Curate and deliver AI-focused sessions to build employee awareness and comfort with emerging AI tools and ways of working.
- Champion a culture of excellence, eloquence, and enthusiasm across all employee touchpoints.
- - HR Technology & Tools
- Demonstrate hands-on proficiency across HR tools and platforms (HRIS, engagement, survey, and analytics tools).
- Drive adoption of HR technology and digital ways of working across the team and the broader employee base.
- Leverage data and HR analytics to generate insights that inform people decisions and business conversations.
- - Global & Compliance Exposure
- Support HR operations across Australia and the USA, ensuring alignment with local employment practices.
- Exposure to employment laws and HR practices in other countries is a strong plus.
- Partner with global stakeholders to ensure consistency of HR standards while respecting local nuances.
Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree/diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- B.Tech/MBA with an excellent academic record from premier institutions (XLRI, TISS, IIMs, etc.) preferred.
- 7 – 10 years of progressive HR experience, with a significant portion in HR Business Partnering roles.
- Experience supporting IT/technology organizations and global/multi-country teams strongly preferred.
Required Skills
- Proven HR Business Partnering experience with strong exposure to the IT/technology industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing a team of HR professionals.
- Excellent hands-on working knowledge of HR tools, platforms, and digital HR technology.
- Prior experience working within an MNC / global, multicultural organization.
- Strong exposure to employee engagement initiatives: climate surveys, engagement forums, and culture-building programs.
- Comfort designing and facilitating sessions on emerging topics such as AI in the workplace.
- Excellent communication and eloquence — able to influence, present, and engage confidently at all levels.
- High energy, ownership mindset, and the resilience to work hard in a fast-moving global setup.
- Working knowledge of Australian and/or US employment practices; awareness of other country labour laws is an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., generative AI, HR chatbots, AI-based analytics/automation platforms) is a strong added advantage.
