Your Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Employee Lifecycle Management
- Own and execute core HR processes from onboarding to offboarding, including contract management, internal mobility, and employee data changes.
- Collaborate closely with P&O; Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and Technology teams to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HCM systems (e.g., Workday, SAP HR Core, SHAPEiN).
- Ensure all transactions are documented in the Case Management System and processed within defined SLAs and KPIs.
- Perform quality checks and apply the 4-eye principle in line with Sandoz internal controls.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support global and regional HR initiatives.
Payroll Administration
- Execute payroll administration activities and support end-to-end payroll processes in partnership with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Validate and process payroll inputs, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, allowances, deductions, and one-time payments.
- Perform payroll data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve payroll-related queries, discrepancies, and escalations within agreed service levels.
- Support payroll audits, controls, compliance reviews, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance, Payroll Vendors, and local stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Maintain payroll documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls and audit requirements.
Benefits Administration
- Oversee benefits-related processes such as enrolment, life events, and terminations.
- Provide expert support to employees regarding benefit programmes, policies, and provider escalations.
- Ensure compliance with local legal requirements and internal policies related to benefits administration.
Time & Attendance
- Manage time and attendance processes, ensuring accurate tracking of working hours, absences, and leave records.
- Support managers and employees in resolving time management issues and interpreting policies.
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws, collective agreements (where applicable), and internal policies.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure consistent adherence to global and local HR policies, labour regulations, and data protection requirements (including GDPR).
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and robust process controls, including segregation of duties and 4-eye reviews.
- Support internal and external audits through timely and accurate documentation.
- Contribute to operational reporting, SLA monitoring, KPI analysis, root cause identification, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, efficiency, and employee experience.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- 3–5 years of experience in HR Operations, Payroll Administration, or Shared Services, preferably within a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes, statutory compliance requirements, and employee lifecycle management.
- Strong working knowledge of local labour laws and HR compliance requirements.
- Advanced experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, ServiceNow) and payroll/time management tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
- Strong interpersonal, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrix organisation.
- Deep understanding of operational metrics, service levels, quality controls, and audit requirements.
