Job Summary:
Responsible for managing HR operations with strong focus on factory statutory compliance, labour laws, licences, registrations, renewals, government inspections, and statutory records. The candidate should have hands-on experience in handling compliance requirements in a manufacturing/factory setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage factory statutory compliance and ensure timely renewal of all applicable licenses, registrations, certificates and permits.
- Handle Factories Act, Labor Laws, Shops & Establishments, PF, ESI, PT, Bonus, Gratuity, Contract Labor and other applicable statutory compliances.
- Maintain and update factory licences, labour licences, contractor licences, registrations and statutory certificates.
- Coordinate for Factory Licence renewal, Boiler/Equipment-related licences, Fire & Safety approvals, Pollution Control-related documentation and other factory permissions, as applicable.
- Maintain all statutory registers, records, notices, returns and compliance documentation required for factory operations.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual statutory returns within the prescribed timelines.
- Coordinate with Government Departments, Labour Department, Factory Inspector, PF/ESI authorities and other statutory authorities.
- Handle and coordinate statutory inspections, audits, notices and queries from government authorities.
- Monitor contract labour compliance, including contractor documentation, licences, attendance, wage records, PF/ESI and other statutory requirements.
- Ensure compliance related to minimum wages, working hours, overtime, leave, weekly holidays,
wage payments and employee welfare provisions.
- Maintain proper documentation for current registrations, amendments, renewals and statutory approvals.
- Track all compliance due dates through a Statutory Compliance Calendar and ensure timely completion.
- Support HR operations including attendance, payroll inputs, employee records, onboarding, employee documentation and disciplinary matters.
- Coordinate with external consultants/agency for statutory compliance wherever required.
- Ensure factory HR documentation is audit-ready and properly maintained.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in HR & Statutory Compliance, preferably in a manufacturing/factory environment.
- Solid practical knowledge of Factory and Labour Laws.
- Hands-on experience in factory licences, statutory registrations, renewals and government compliance.
- Good knowledge of PF, ESI, PT, Bonus, Gratuity and Contract Labour compliance.
- Experience in handling labour/factory inspections and statutory audits.
- Good documentation, follow-up and compliance tracking skills.
- Strong coordination skills with government authorities, contractors and external consultants.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and HRMS.
Preferred Candidate: Candidate with strong hands-on experience in factory statutory compliance and licence management, rather than only general HR/recruitment experience.
