ABOUT US

We run hotels in Varanasi alongside a 35-year-old steel and building-materials business. We are professionalising the accounts function across our properties and building a proper back office at our Chitaipur-area office.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You own the day-to-day accounts for our hotel operations - daily revenue, room and F&B; billing, banquet bills, OTA settlements, vendor payments, GST returns and reconciliation - coordinating directly with the hotel front desks and with management.

We want someone from the hotel or hospitality industry specifically. Hotel accounting has its own rhythm - night audit, OTA remittances net of commission, banquet advances, city ledger - and we would rather hire someone who already lives in it than train it from scratch.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Daily revenue

- Verify daily sales - room revenue, restaurant and F&B;, banquet and event billing.
- Perform and review night audit reports and daily revenue reconciliation.
- Reconcile front-office cash handovers, card settlements and UPI collections.
- Investigate every variance between the PMS or POS report and what actually banked.

OTA and receivables
- Reconcile OTA collections and commissions - MakeMyTrip, Booking.com, Goibibo, Agoda.
- Maintain the city ledger and corporate accounts, and follow up outstanding.
- Track banquet and event advances against final bills.

Statutory
- File GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B,



and reconcile GSTR-2B against the purchase register.
- Apply the correct GST treatment across room tariff slabs, F&B; and banquet.
- TDS deduction, computation and quarterly returns.

Payables, stores and reporting
- Process vendor bills and payments, and maintain party ledgers and ageing.
- Maintain kitchen, bar and housekeeping store and inventory records, with monthly physical stock.
- Manage petty cash.
- Bank reconciliation for all property accounts.
- Prepare monthly P&L; and MIS per property for management.

PREFERRED CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 2 to 6 years in accounts, inside a hotel, restaurant, banquet hall or resort.
- Working command of Tally Prime.
- Hands-on GST return filing - you should have filed GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B yourself.
- Understanding of TDS, bank reconciliation and store or inventory accounting.
- Based in Varanasi and able to reach the Chitaipur area daily.
- Honest, organised and completely reliable with daily cash.

Valuable to have
- Hotel PMS software such as IDS, eZee or Hotelogix.
- Experience handling accounts for more than one property.
- Banquet and event billing exposure.

WHAT WE OFFER
- Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 per month. Higher will be considered for an exceptional candidate.
- Full ownership of the accounts function for our hotel operations.
- Direct reporting to management, no layers.
- A group expanding into more properties.
