About The Job:

- As a part of MS VMware and Horizon VDI support team deliverables, the engineer is required to have strong Admin, Operate and Manage skills in Horizon VDI and VMware vSphere to provide services for global customers. Candidate should have a strong customer focus, sensitivity in dealing with diverse cultures, ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Essential Job Functions:

- Resolve customer’s issues via telephone, email, or remote sessions.
- Identify and escalate issues in a timely manner to vendor according to process guidelines.
- Leverage internal technical expertise, including peers, mentors, knowledge base, community forums and other internal tools, to provide the most effective solutions to customer issues.
- Collaborate with other technology teams in diagnosing and isolating the cause of complex issues.
- Maintain quality on case documentation, SLA timeframes and operational metrics.
- Performs within the Productivity Measure of the team (scorecard).
- Handle Problem Management, Post Incident Reviews and RCA.

Qualifications:

Eligibility & Qualification:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or Equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Managed Service workplace.




- Certification on the latest tracks like Horizon VDI, VMware, ITIL is an added advantage.
- Flexible to work in 24/7 support environment.

Technical Skills:
- Experience in managing Horizon Connection Server.
- Experience in managing Unified Access Gateway (UAG).
- Experience in BLAST and PCoIP protocols.
- Experience in golden image preparation for Windows and Linux Horizon desktops.
- Knowledge on dedicated-assignment, floating-assignment pools, and automated pools.
- Knowledge on Instant-Clone, RDS Desktop and Application Pools.
- Experience in NVIDIA graphics cards configuration for Desktop Pools.
- Experience in App Volumes, Application Packages.
- Experience in Writable Volumes.
- Experience in Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) profile management and its features.
- Experience in Horizon and vSphere upgrades.
- Admin, Operate and Manage vSphere Datacenter.
- Experience in ESXi and vCenter upgrades.
- Experience in ESXi command line interface.
- Experience in vCenter Appliance vPostgres database.
- Experience in vCenter HA, DRS, and other cluster features.
- Experience in Virtual Machine operations and configurations.
- Experience in vSphere Authentication, and Certificate Management.
- Experience in vSphere Performance Monitoring, Performance Chart, and esxtop.
- Experience in vSphere Networking, Standard Switch, Distributed Switch (DVS).
- Experience in vSphere Storage, iSCSI, FC, Software iSCSI, RDM configurations.
- Experience in vSphere security and ESXi hardening.
- Experience in log analysis and RCA.
- Experience in Network troubleshooting, packet capture using pktcap and Wireshark.
- VMware PowerCLI knowledge and scripting experience.
- Good knowledge of VMware SRM and vSAN.
- Basic knowledge of Physical Network and Storage technologies.
- Admin, Operate and Manage VMware Horizon View and vSphere Datacenter.

Good To Have:




- VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Data center deployment.
- Experience in SDDC Manager.
- Experience in VCF components upgrade.
- Experience in VCF troubleshooting & root cause analysis.
- Experience in NSX-T troubleshooting & root cause analysis.
- Experience in vSAN OSA & ESA.
- Good understanding on DHCP, DNS and Active Directory.
- Basic knowledge on Linux Operating Systems.
