About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to drive business growth across strategic institutional and corporate accounts in the pharmaceutical sector.
This is a high-impact role for a commercially driven professional with strong exposure to hospital chains, institutional business, key stakeholders, procurement, tenders and account management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, acquire and manage strategic hospital chains, corporate hospitals, government/PSU institutions and large pharmacy/retail accounts.
- Develop and execute account-specific business plans to drive sales, market share and formulary inclusion.
- Build strong relationships with KOLs, procurement teams, purchase committees, pharmacy heads and therapy-area specialists.
- Drive product adoption, account penetration and sustainable business growth across key accounts.
- Lead and coordinate tender, rate-contract and institutional business processes in line with applicable commercial and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with distributors, C&F; partners and internal supply-chain teams to ensure product availability and seamless order fulfilment.
- Monitor competitor activity, pricing, market trends and account-level performance and provide actionable market intelligence.
- Ensure all customer engagement and business activities comply with applicable pharma regulations and company code of conduct.
- Mentor and coordinate with Key Account Executives supporting the assigned accounts.
What We’re Looking For:
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm is mandatory.
- MBA in Marketing/Sales is mandatory.
- 6–9 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, with at least 2–3 years in institutional, key account or corporate hospital sales.
- Strong understanding of institutional sales, account planning, negotiations and tender/rate-contract processes.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong commercial orientation with the ability to identify and convert business opportunities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, distributors and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel extensively as required.
