Role: Head Refractory- VAB

Location: Amona, Goa

From steelmaking capacity of 40 lakh tonnes per annum (Goa and Bokaro), we will scale to 100 lakh tonnes per annum as we can leverage the availability of gas at our doorstep. We have the backing of high-quality and best captive iron ore mines in Goa, Odisha and Karnataka that will help us scale to 100 lakh tonnes per annum and then 150 lakh tonnes per annum.

We are seeking a agile and insightful individual to join us as a Head Refractory- VAB, to drive its momentum forward and deliver on our business goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure safe refractory maintenance execution through strict compliance with procedures, permits, PPE, and safety training, targeting zero LTIs.
- Manage timely procurement of refractory materials while optimizing inventory and usage to meet business goals and reduce costs.
- Track refractory equipment condition and life through report analysis and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Ensure effective implementation of AO and VSAP systems to drive compliance, productivity, reliability, and performance improvements.
- Control maintenance costs through strategic planning and efficient use of refractory resources without impacting operations.
- Develop and motivate teams through regular training and strong collaboration with contract workers for smooth refractory operations.

Candidate Profile

- B. Tech/B.E. Refractory with 8 + yrs. of relevant experience.
