Role Description The Head of Department of Computer Science will lead the academic and technical vision for the department, ensuring alignment with CTPL’s mission to transform higher education through technology. This full time, on-site role is based in the Mohali district and involves overseeing curriculum design, integrating industry-relevant technologies, and fostering collaboration between faculty, students, and product teams. The role includes leading and mentoring the department team, planning and monitoring academic projects, and driving research and innovation initiatives that support CTPL’s EdTech solutions.





The Head of Department will also coordinate with leadership to align departmental goals with organizational strategy, maintain academic quality standards, and represent the department in internal and external forums.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Software Development, including modern programming languages, frameworks, and best practices.
- Proven Team Management and Team Leadership skills to guide, mentor, and develop diverse academic and technical teams.
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management, including planning, execution, and delivery of academic or technology projects.
- Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture for designing scalable, secure, and integrated technology solutions in an educational context.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field; PhD or significant academic experience is an advantage.
- Experience in higher education, EdTech, or academic administration, with a track record of curriculum development and academic quality assurance.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and build partnerships with industry and academia.
- Commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education and willingness to adopt innovative teaching and assessment methods.
