Role: Digital Developer / Consultant Developer

Work Hours: 09:00 AM 06:00 PM IST

Location: 100% Remote

Duration: 6 Month contract

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Digital Developer / Consultant Developer to support a Japan-based digital development project. The role will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining digital applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams across EMEA and India.

The ideal candidate should have strong software development fundamentals, experience working in Agile environments, and the ability to contribute across different application versions and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain digital applications and software solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Participate in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-quality solutions following established coding standards and development best practices.
- Analyze existing applications, identify technical improvements, and implement enhancements and bug fixes.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, product teams, and other developers to deliver project requirements.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, code reviews, and technical troubleshooting to ensure application quality.




- Support integration of digital applications with internal and external systems and services.
- Contribute to technical documentation, solution design, and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Coordinate with distributed teams across Japan, EMEA, and India to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
- Follow established security, performance, scalability, and quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Skills

- Strong experience in software / digital application development.
- Valuable understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and software development best practices.
- Strong programming and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with API development, system integration, debugging, and application enhancement.
- Good understanding of version control, code quality, testing, and deployment practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with geographically distributed teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

- Experience working on large-scale digital transformation or enterprise application projects.
- Experience supporting Japan-based projects or international stakeholders.
- Exposure to multiple application/product versions such as V7, V8, V9, V10.
- Experience with digital platforms/products such as Kufri, Las Leas, Mammoth, Niseko, and Olos would be an advantage.
- Experience in a consulting or client-facing development environment.
- Ability to operate at Associate or Lead (ACE) level depending on experience.
