Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Furniture Designer role based in Udupi, Karnataka.

The Furniture

Designer will develop design concepts and detailed drawings for furniture pieces, aligned with client requirements and brand standards. Day-to-day tasks include translating briefs into 2D/3D designs, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating with carpentry and production teams, and ensuring designs are feasible for manufacturing. The role also involves collaborating with interior designers and product developers, preparing prototypes or samples, and refining designs based on feedback.

Designer will support quality checks, maintain design documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement of the product range.

Qualifications

- Solid skills in Furniture Design and Furniture development, with the ability to create functional, aesthetic, and manufacturable products.
- Hands-on understanding of Carpentry and woodworking processes to ensure practical and efficient construction methods.
- Experience or knowledge in Interior Design to align furniture concepts with spatial layouts and overall project aesthetics.
- Capability in Product Design, including user-centered design, materials selection, and ergonomics.
- Proficiency in design software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, or similar) and ability to produce technical drawings and 3D models.
- Diploma or degree in Furniture Design, Product Design, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Attention to detail, strong visualization skills, and the ability to interpret and respond to client and project requirements.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with design, production, and installation teams on-site.
