Role Purpose:

We are seeking a Functional Consultant with SAP Procure-to-Pay (P2P) experience in the retail industry to support the SAP S/4HANA store rollout for the MAF Retail operating company. Working offshore under the P2P Lead, the consultant will configure and test P2P processes for each store wave, support functional specification preparation, and resolve defects through testing, go-live and hypercare.

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years of SAP MM/P2P configuration experience, exposure to IS-Retail purchasing and replenishment, and must have worked on at least one complete greenfield SAP S/4HANA retail implementation.

Role Details Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Configuration and Solution Support:

- Configure SAP MM and Logistics Invoice Verification settings for assigned P2P scenarios, following the approved design.
- Prepare and maintain functional specifications for RICEFW objects, and support ABAP developers through build and unit testing.
- Support process design for purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt, invoice verification, consignment, returns and vendor reconciliation.

Testing and Defect Resolution:

- Prepare and execute unit, string and integration test scripts covering P2P flows and their touchpoints with IS-Retail, EWM and Finance.
- Support SIT and UAT cycles, triage business-reported issues, and drive defects to closure within agreed service levels.
- Verify end-to-end data flow between store replenishment, distribution centre inventory, supplier invoicing and financial postings.

Master Data and Cutover Support:

- Support definition and validation of P2P master data, including vendor master, purchasing info records, source lists and article procurement views.
- Assist with mock load validation and reconciliation of procurement data ahead of each store cutover.
- Support supplier onboarding activities, including EDI and supplier portal setup checks.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer:

- Maintain configuration documentation,



test evidence and process documentation to project standards.
- Escalate risks and issues promptly to the P2P Lead, such as design gaps, open defects or delayed dependencies.
- Prepare training and support material for store and buying users and support hypercare after each go-live.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

- Work closely with the onsite P2P Lead, other functional streams, developers and testing teams across offshore and onshore locations.
- Participate in design and validation sessions with business users, ensuring availability during UAE business hours as required.

Functional/Technical Competencies

Experience:

- 5 to 8 years of experience as an SAP MM/P2P functional consultant, with hands-on configuration responsibility.
- Mandatory: at least one complete greenfield SAP S/4HANA retail implementation delivered end to end, from design through go-live, with exposure to retail procurement processes such as store replenishment, purchasing and goods receipt.
- Working knowledge of P2P processes: requisitioning, purchasing, inventory postings, logistics invoice verification and accounts payable integration.
- Experience supporting SIT, UAT and hypercare on a multi-site rollout.

Technical Skills:

- Hands-on SAP MM configuration, including pricing and condition techniques, output determination and release strategies.
- Exposure to retail-specific SAP modules such as IS-Retail, EWM and Ariba.
- Ability to write transparent functional specifications and test scripts.
- Familiarity with Fiori apps for procurement and S/4HANA innovations.

Soft Skills:

- Clear written and spoken English for working with onshore stakeholders remotely.
- Analytical mindset and structured approach to defect investigation.
- Willingness to work offshore with overlap to UAE business hours and extended hours during cutover and go-live.

Preferred Qualifications:

- SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement Certification.
- Experience with multi-location, multi-country retail SAP rollouts delivered from an offshore location.
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid methodologies and tools such as Jira or Solution Manager.
