ROLE SUMMARY The Fragrance Advisor is the face of Brand at the Hyderabad Duty Free counter — the first point of contact for travellers discovering the brand. This is a consultative sales role: guiding customers through product Collection, translating each fragrance's story and notes into a personal recommendation, and converting footfall into sales, all while delivering the warm, premium, and distinctly Indian experience the brand is built on.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Customer Engagement
- Greet and engage travellers at the counter, offering personalized fragrance consultations rather than generic pitches.
- Guide customers through Collection communicating each fragrance's story, notes, and positioning.
- Achieve and exceed individual and counter sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell within the collection, including gift sets and complementary items, in a natural, nonpushy way.
Product & Brand Knowledge
- Maintain deep, current knowledge of the full Mocemsa range, ingredients, and brand story.
- Represent the brand's Indian positioning authentically and consistently in every customer interaction.
- Stay up to date on new launches, promotions, and collection updates.
Counter & Store Operations
- Maintain visual merchandising standards at the counter in line with brand guidelines.
- Monitor stock availability at the counter and flag replenishment needs to the Store/Account Manager.
- Handle billing, gift-wrapping, and point-of-sale transactions accurately.
- Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of testers, samples, and display units at all times.
Duty Free & Airport Workplace
- Operate within duty-free and airport regulations, including passenger eligibility checks and documentation as required.
- Work rotational shifts aligned with flight schedules and store operating hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Coordinate professionally with duty-free operator staff and airport authorities as needed.
Reporting & Feedback
- Maintain daily sales and footfall records; share performance updates with the reporting manager.
- Relay customer feedback and on-ground market insights — competitor activity, popular notes, traveller preferences — to the brand team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Graduate in any discipline; a background in retail, hospitality, or luxury sales is preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in retail sales, ideally within fragrance, beauty, or luxury travel retail/duty free.
- Passport with minimum 5 years validity.
- Prior duty-free or airport retail experience is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English and Hindi required; proficiency in Telugu and/or additional international languages (Arabic, Mandarin, or others relevant to traveller traffic) is a strong plus.
SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
- Polished, well-groomed, and confident in customer-facing interactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable engaging travellers from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- A genuine passion for fragrance, storytelling, and the craft behind the product.
- Target-driven, with a consultative rather than aggressive sales approach.
- Flexible to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays as per airport retail hours.
- A positive, reliable team player who carries themselves as a brand ambassador at all times.
WHAT WE OFFER
- The opportunity to represent a distinctive, India-rooted luxury fragrance brand in a premier travel retail environment.
- Performance-linked incentives on top of base compensation.
- Structured training on product knowledge and consultative selling.
- Genuine growth opportunity as Mocemsa's travel retail presence expands across other airports and territories.
