What you'll own-

- Define the overall technology architecture for Unbordered
- Build the core backend and financial integration platform
- Design how we connect with banks, fintechs and other financial institutions
- Create reliable systems for KYC, account opening, transactions and customer data
- Establish security, privacy and engineering standards
- Make key technology and infrastructure decisions
- Hire, mentor and lead the initial engineering team
- Work closely with product and design to ship customer-facing products quickly
- Ensure the platform can scale as we add more institutions, products and customers
- Stay hands-on: design, code, review and build, particularly during the early stages of the company

What we're looking for-

- 8+ years of strong software engineering experience- Strong understanding of APIs, databases, distributed systems and cloud architecture
- Experience designing and building large backend or platform systems
- 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring engineers
- Ability to make pragmatic architectural decisions in an early-stage environment
- Robust ownership mindset and comfort operating with ambiguity
- Experience building technology in banking, payments, cards, lending, wealth, KYC or fintech infrastructure would be highly valuable
