Role Description The Forewoman role is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and coordinating site operations. This role includes supervising work crews, assigning tasks, monitoring progress against plans, and ensuring that work meets safety, quality, and timeline requirements. The Forewoman will inspect use of heavy equipment and tools, support carpentry and maintenance tasks, and ensure adherence to construction specifications and site procedures.

The position involves clear communication with project managers, subcontractors, and workers, maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used,



and any site issues. The Forewoman will also help implement safety protocols, support training of site personnel, and contribute to continuous improvement of on-site workflows.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills with experience leading construction crews and coordinating on-site activities.
- Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operations and basic equipment safety and maintenance practices.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with workers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
- Proficiency in carpentry and general construction maintenance tasks relevant to building and structural work.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards, site regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings, plans, and work schedules.
- Previous experience in a foreperson or site supervisor role in the construction industry is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in construction or civil works is an advantage.
- Ability to work extended hours on-site as needed and adapt to changing project requirements.
