About The Client:

Qualifications:

Required Skill Set

- Strong experience in Firewall Rule Review and Firewall Governance processes.

- Ability to perform security risk assessments for firewall rules and network connectivity requests.

- Expertise in evaluating source/destination IPs, ports, protocols, services, and NAT requirements.

- Thorough understanding of the Principle of Least Privilege and network security best practices.

- Strong knowledge of network architecture and firewall connectivity design.

- Experience with LAN, WAN, DMZ, network segmentation, and cloud connectivity.

- Understanding of Site-to-Site VPN, Remote Access VPN, and third-party/vendor connectivity.

- Familiarity with key network components including Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Load Balancers, Proxy Servers, IDS/IPS, WAFs, and VPN Gateways.

- Proficiency in IPv4/IPv6 addressing, subnetting, CIDR notation, NAT/PAT, and routing concepts.

- Strong knowledge of common TCP/UDP ports and protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS, SSH, SFTP, DNS, SMTP, LDAP, RDP, and database ports.

- Ability to analyze end-to-end network traffic flows and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

- Experience reviewing firewall changes and conducting impact and security assessments.

- Knowledge of change management processes, compliance requirements, and security standards.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation,



and stakeholder communication skills
