FinOps Lead / Assistant Manager Internal Finance

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified accountant at Assistant Manager level to take ownership of our internal finance function. This is a group finance role, not client accounting, with responsibility for accounting, month-end close, consolidation, billing, AR and finance process improvement across our India, UK and US entities.

You will work closely with the leadership team and own the finance process end-to-end, ensuring books are accurate, billing is timely and commercial terms are correctly reflected in invoices.

Key Responsibilities

- Own bookkeeping and accounting across India, UK and US entities.
- Manage month-end close and group consolidation.
- Prepare and issue monthly client invoices covering subscriptions, pricing changes, discounts, overages and add-ons.
- Reconcile Stripe, Xero, CRM/internal trackers and customer payments.
- Manage AR including payment matching, failed payments, overdue invoices and collections.
- Ensure billing accurately reflects client agreements and scope changes.
- Coordinate with client/account managers on billing adjustments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reporting.
- Improve accounting, billing and reconciliation processes through documented, repeatable and technology-first workflows.




- Ensure suppliers are paid on time and internal finance operations remain efficient.

Required Skills & Experience

- CA / ACCA / ACA qualification is mandatory.
- Strong experience in month-end closing and multi-entity accounting.
- Hands-on experience with group consolidation.
- Strong working knowledge of Xero or a comparable cloud-based GL/accounting system.
- Robust Excel / Google Sheets skills.
- Practical experience in AR, billing, invoicing, payment reconciliation and collections/dunning.
- Experience working with India, UK and US entities.
- Experience with Stripe is highly preferred.
- Strong written and verbal English communication.
- High ownership and ability to independently manage the finance function.
- Comfortable working with UK working-hour overlap.

What Were Looking For We need someone who can own the process end-to-end, close books without constant supervision, identify gaps proactively and build scalable finance processes rather than relying on manual firefighting.

Candidates should have:

- CA / ACCA / ACA qualification
- Assistant Manager-level experience
- Strong month-end close experience
- Multi-entity accounting + consolidation
- Hands-on Xero or equivalent cloud GL experience
- AR + billing + collections experience
- Exposure to UK/US entities
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Willingness to work with UK-hour overlap

Preferred: Hands-on Stripe experience and experience in a technology/startup environment.
