Job Purpose The person will be working extensively in the field of financial accounting, planning, analysis and reporting in a fast-paced environment.
The job requires a person with maturity to understand the work requirement and should have an ability to interact and work with internal and external teams.
Job Accountabilities (Duties and Responsibilities).
- Timely preparation of standalone and consolidated financials for the new energy entities/group.
- Continuous review of trial balance and general ledger & review financials regularly to maintain clean balance sheet.
- Preparation of necessary monthly, quarterly and annual financial information including related party transactions to be provided to corporate consolidation team and for audit.
- Monitoring and reviewing of financial performance of overseas and domestic subsidiaries, associates & JVs.
- Ensuring that the financials statements of overseas and domestic subsidiaries, associates & JVs are audited and received in a timely manner for consolidation and providing to corporate consolidation team.
- Review the periodic accounts of other new energy business verticals in RIL books and ensuring accuracy and correctness.
- Preparation of necessary monthly, quarterly and annual financial information including related party transactions to be provided to corporate consolidation team and for audit.
- Ensuring that inter-company transactions are appropriately accounted and duly reconciled.
- Keeping a track of budgets approved by the management vis--vis commitments made and actuals incurred.
- Preparing weekly MIS to capture various financials and non-financials facets of the business to be issued to the management.
- All reporting / MIS related to Projects- Cost, forecast, commitments, cashflow, etc.
- Liaising with various SPOC identified to support the business from various departments like Treasury, SAP, COE, etc.
- Ensuring all necessary compliances under the various Corporate Laws, Income Tax Act, FEMA/RBI.
- Timely filing of APR & FLA.
- Handling banking transactions.
- Identify and implement recent areas of automation.
- Continuous improvements of systems, processes, and controls
Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)
- A finance background with exposure to all areas in finance, accounts, compliances and tax, is a must.
- Good working knowledge of SAPs MM, CO & BI Modules.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools like excel & word.
- Analytical thinking and Process Oriented
- Creativity and innovation skills.
- Skills to Interact with Procurement and Project team to resolve issues, if any.
- Time management skills and result oriented.
Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)
- Minimum Qualification: CA with 2 to 3 Years experience (preferably in SAP environment).
- Experience in preparation of financials statement and consolidation and various related compliances.
- Knowledge of various tax laws applicable to the business.
- Good Analytical Ability/Commercial Acumen
