Finance R2R SME / Accounting Reconciliation Specialist – Pune

Function: Finance – Record to Report (R2R)

Role Overview

We are looking for hands-on Finance R2R professionals to support a client with an accounting reconciliation clean-up programme. This is a practical delivery role requiring individuals who can work directly on reconciliations, investigate outstanding items and drive them through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform and review balance sheet / general ledger account reconciliations.
- Investigate aged, unreconciled and outstanding items.
- Identify root causes for reconciliation breaks and discrepancies.
- Work with relevant Finance teams to obtain supporting information and resolve open items.
- Perform account clean-up and ensure appropriate supporting documentation.
- Track outstanding items, ageing, actions and resolution status.
- Escalate complex or long-outstanding issues appropriately.
- Support improvements to reconciliation quality and controls.
- Provide transparent progress reporting on accounts reviewed, issues identified and items resolved.

Experience Required





- Strong hands-on R2R / General Accounting experience.
- Practical experience performing account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Good understanding of GL, journal entries, month-end close and accounting controls.
- Experience investigating and resolving aged/open reconciliation items.
- Strong Excel skills.
- ERP experience, preferably SAP or similar large ERP.
- Comfortable working independently in a hands-on delivery environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with Finance stakeholders.

Profile we are NOT looking for: This is not a Finance Transformation, programme leadership or advisory role. We need hands-on practitioners who are comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working directly through accounting reconciliations and clean-up activities.
