Finance Head (HOD – Finance)
Department : Finance & Accounts
Reports To : Director / Managing Director
Job Location : Corporate Office / Head Office
Purpose of the Role :
The Finance Head is responsible for leading the company's financial planning, budgeting, accounting, taxation, treasury, compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting. The role ensures the financial health of the organization by managing cash flow, optimizing costs, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting strategic decision-making, and safeguarding company assets.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Strategy
Develop annual financial plans and budgets.
Prepare long-term financial forecasts.
Support management in strategic financial decisions.
Evaluate business expansion and investment opportunities.
Monitor profitability across products and business segments.
Recommend cost optimization initiatives.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate MIS reports.
- Present financial performance to management.
- Analyze variances against budgets.
- Maintain accuracy of financial records.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards.
Budgeting & Cost Control
- Prepare departmental budgets.
- Monitor budget utilization.
- Control operating expenses.
- Analyze manufacturing costs and overheads.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Review capital expenditure proposals.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Monitor daily cash flow.
- Ensure adequate working capital availability.
- Plan fund requirements.
- Manage banking relationships.
- Optimize cash utilization.
- Monitor investments and surplus funds.
- Oversee loan repayments and interest obligations.
Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Supervise all accounting activities.
- Ensure timely book closures.
- Verify journal entries and ledgers.
- Monitor receivables and payables.
- Ensure reconciliation of bank accounts and ledgers.
- Maintain financial accuracy.
Taxation & Statutory Compliance
- Ensure timely GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory filings.
- Coordinate with tax consultants and auditors.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
- Handle assessments and notices from government authorities.
- Maintain statutory records and documentation.
Audit & Internal Controls
- Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits.
- Implement solid internal financial controls.
- Ensure compliance with company policies.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Recommend improvements in financial processes.
- Safeguard company assets.
Working Capital & Credit Control
- Monitor customer outstanding balances.
- Review credit limits.
- Improve collection efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Accounts teams for timely collections.
- Monitor vendor payments.
- Optimize inventory-related financial planning.
Payroll & Employee Benefits
- Oversee payroll processing.
- Ensure timely salary payments.
- Monitor statutory deductions.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Gratuity, and other employee benefit regulations.
- Coordinate with the HR department on compensation-related matters.
Banking & Fund Management
- Manage banking facilities and documentation.
- Coordinate with banks for loans, overdrafts, and working capital limits.
- Negotiate financing terms where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with loan covenants.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions.
Risk Management
- Identify financial risks.
- Recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure insurance coverage for company assets.
- Monitor fraud prevention measures.
- Strengthen financial governance.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- MBA (Finance), CMA, or equivalent qualification is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
