Key Responsibilities

- Breakdown Service

- Attend breakdown calls at any time, including emergency/after-hours calls, and take necessary action to rectify the problem at the earliest.

- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control-related faults in air compressors.

- Minimize equipment downtime and restore the compressor to safe operating condition.

- Installation &
- Commissioning

- Install, commission, and start up air compressors at customer locations.

- Check compressor piping, electrical connections, air receivers, dryers, filters, and other associated equipment.

- Conduct performance checks after commissioning.

- Preventive &

- Corrective Maintenance

- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance as per manufacturer recommendations.

- Perform oil changes, filter replacement, belt/coupling inspection, lubrication, and other service activities.

- Identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.

- Troubleshooting &

- Repair

- Troubleshoot compressor-related mechanical, electrical, and control-system problems.

- Repair or replace faulty components when required.

- Check compressor pressure, temperature, current, air delivery, and other operating parameters.

- Customer Support

- Communicate professionally with customers and understand their technical requirements.

- Explain equipment faults, service requirements, and recommended corrective actions.

- Provide technical support and guidance to customers regarding proper compressor operation.

- Service Documentation

- Prepare service reports after every site visit.

- Record breakdown details, work carried out, spare parts used, machine readings, and recommendations.

- Submit service reports and required documents on time.

- Spare Parts &

- Tools

- Identify required spare parts for repair and maintenance.

- Maintain service tools, testing instruments, and equipment in proper working condition.





- Coordinate with the service/office team for spare-parts requirements.

- Safety &

- Compliance

- Follow all company safety procedures and customer-site safety requirements.

- Ensure compressors and associated equipment are operated and serviced safely.

- Use appropriate PPE and follow protected isolation/lockout procedures during maintenance.

Required Skills &

- Qualifications

- Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

- Experience in air compressors, air dryers, or compressed-air systems is preferred.

- Good knowledge of screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, air dryers, filters, and air receivers.

- Basic knowledge of electrical panels, motors, sensors, PLC/control systems, and VFDs.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently at customer sites.

- Willingness to travel to customer locations.

- Valid driving licence preferred.
