ABOUT THE ROLE
Culture Careers is managing the volunteer programme for a major national arts festival in Panaji, Goa. We are looking for four experienced coordinators to support the programme across two phases: remote screening from late September to November, followed by full on-ground coordination from 10 to 22 December. The full on-ground commitment is non-negotiable.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
REMOTE PHASE | LATE SEPTEMBER-NOVEMBER
- Conduct structured screening calls with volunteer applicants and assess them against role-specific criteria.
- Manage shortlists, documentation, and volunteer communication.
- Coordinate with the CultureCareers lead on pipeline progress.
ON-GROUND PHASE | 10-22 DECEMBER • PANAJI
- Deploy and supervise volunteers across multiple festival venues.
- Conduct daily briefings and shift handovers.
- Manage attendance, rotation, and real-time problem solving on the ground.
- Be the first point of contact for volunteers throughout the festival.
- Report daily to the Culture Careers lead.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
- Direct experience managing volunteers, promoters, or on-ground teams at a festival, cultural event, exhibition, or large-scale public programme.
- Comfortable conducting structured phone or video screening calls.
- Solid knowledge of Goa, including its geography, venues, and local networks.
- Fully available in Goa from 1022 December 2026; full commitment is non-negotiable.
- Available remotely from late September for screening calls.
- Strong communication in English and Hindi; Konkani or Marathi is an advantage.
- Calm under pressure and comfortable in a fast-moving, multi-venue environment.

This job is not suitable for anyone unable to commit to the full time Goa deployment plus for somebody who is inexperienced in managing groups at an event or programme.
REMUNERATION / ADDITIONAL PERKS
Remuneration: TBD with shortlisted candidates
- Return flights to Goa.
- Accommodation for the full on-ground period.
- Local transport in Goa throughout the festival.
