Job Purpose To manage the overall factory operations and ensure secure, efficient, cost-effective and timely production while maintaining product quality, statutory compliance and manpower productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage overall factory operations including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Warehouse and Dispatch.

- Plan production as per sales requirements and ensure timely achievement of production targets.

- Monitor productivity, machine utilization, wastage, rejection, downtime and production costs.

- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality standards, GMP, hygiene, safety and statutory requirements.

- Coordinate with Purchase, Stores, Production, QA/QC, Maintenance, Sales and Accounts for smooth operations.

- Control manpower deployment, attendance, overtime and workforce productivity.

- Ensure preventive maintenance and minimum machine breakdowns through proper coordination with Maintenance.

- Monitor raw material, packaging material and finished goods inventory to avoid shortages and excess stock.

- Identify operational problems and implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Control factory expenses, wastage and production losses while improving overall efficiency.

- Ensure proper implementation of SOPs,



work instructions and company policies.

- Review daily and monthly factory MIS/KPIs and report performance to management.

- Lead and develop factory teams, maintain discipline and promote a safe working environment.

- Ensure proper documentation, statutory records, audits and compliance requirements are maintained.

Qualification & Experience

- B.Tech/B.E./Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Food Technology or related field; MBA/PG qualification preferred.

- 10 to 15 years of experience in FMCG/Food Manufacturing, with relevant experience in plant/factory operations.

- Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, quality, maintenance, inventory and factory cost control.

- Good leadership, problem-solving, communication and decision-making skills.

- Working knowledge of MS Excel, ERP/MIS and manufacturing systems.
